Start of an Adventure

Share

This was done just for fun. I went straight in with colour on this one which is unusual for me because I tend to paint in greyscale before colouring.

To be honest it felt weird but after a while I enjoyed going in with colour and just practicing in general. It was made up on the spot.

Yesterday I said to myself... 'I want to have an animal on something looking somewhere bigger' and this is what came out haha.

Went for the cartoony-esk approach on this one and it was very fun doing it :D

Awesome drawing, it certainly does look like the start of an adventure! :D

Great

The details are awesome. The fire and smoke look perfect and the tree and volcanoes look detailed.
The only things I don't like is that the tree branch seems to be blurred, and it fades into the background. That and the shadowing of the bridge poles; they should be going a different direction due to the torch.

Real Nice

I love this painting. It looks even more fascinating in full size. A cat/fox/ferret hybrid thing is in a floating island connected to a volcano island by a long wooden bridge. I gotta say, you just took fantasy to a new level. Great job. The detail and depth of color was really nice. 5/5 *favorited*
