EDIT:... I just darkened/lightened some areas to try and add some more depth to it as someone below mentioned it could help. Just minor but it makes a difference I think :)
incredible the feathers look awesome. Really miss that series
Do you have any advice
on feathers? I'm interested on how you got those feathers to look so exotic and varied, plus on how they look like feathers.

I looked at references to see how feathers flow in direction etc. Then when I painted them I exaggerated the curves etc so it looked more 'bountiful' lets say... and then just coloured them in.
