I had a lot of fun painting this picture. It was not an ACTUAL reference from a game in terms of composition but different elements from mario have been thrown in.

This is for an upcoming commercial campaign which revolves around gaming (i cant say too much!!). I thought it would be awesome to have a mario level, but with a dark feel to it, but keeping the vibrance and strong colours mario games have :D

Wow.

Quite stunning, and as a kid I would have cowered in fear if this had been shown on the screen. I have a new desktop background. :D

pretty good

it was good but the backround with the hills was kinda blury its not like it was a real problem and it actually looks like its real you know good job

Its deliberately blurry to give the foreground some depth of it looks flat

yeah...

this is the dark, but vibrant world i`ve always thought mario had to face, daily even. still, it does seem to me like you based this off of a missioon you had trouble with, it looks like it would be difficult here.

Fuck you did a good job on that piranha-trap.
