I am not familiar with this character and I think it may be an original character. Whatever the design intention was, this is still a very cool picture. I think it mostly works because you've apparently gotten out of that background. If only this picture was of a hotter woman! Well, then again, I guess this woman is as hot as you'd expect. I'm starting to see why some people dig people with big thighs.
I like the fiery background. There wasn't that much detail in this, but at least it got its theme across. I think the shading is probably the most admirable part. The pointed ears make you wonder what kind of creature she is, oh a fire nymph. I know little about those.
