Ok, I first saw your work Liar and thought 'wow'. This one is sooo funny and sad at the same time. The yellow smiley face pin is what makes it click. That and the essence of magic or fairy dust or whatever creating such a bright cheery light. What is the red light coming from? Does it have something to do with his dour expression? Is this gnome on his way to hell?
