I pretty much suffer from depression, a fact that I've tried to deny for a long time but a good friend of mine got me to accept it. I haven't really told my family how bad it can get, and instead I want to find healthy ways to express my feelings when I go through an episode. This wasn't really drawn during an episode, but I was starting to feel a little depressed when I was drawing this but ultimately the depression started to fade as I got into it. This comic was created with the idea in mind to show my personal fight against depression, the samurai representing my will and determination, whilst the demon in the mask is representing my depression. All the emo crap aside this was also drawn purely because I've always wanted to draw a samurai comic. Love it or hate it please leave your comments below! :)

When I'm sad, I actively seek out things that would make me happy. And even if I dont find it, I feel better.

Over the years I've developed a very pessimistic and cynical attitude toward life and my own existence, I think existentially constantly in a very negative light, It's rather depressing to say the least. I'm not always like this though, I find creative expression to be an easy release or distraction. In fact, A tornado recently threatened the lives of my friends and school mates and while most panicked, I chose to draw, and remained as calm as I could. All thanks to drawing.
