A drawing a friend asked me to do. Fairly simple, done with 2H, 2B, 5B, putty rubber and a normal rubber and a nice bit of tissue for smudging up the background. Few tweaks then done digitally on the exposure. On the whole it came out pretty well. All feedback is welcome!

This is a beautiful drawing. The highlights are wonderfully done as is the feather texture. It seems the eagle is in a somewhat unnatural position, though.

Thanks for the feedback. The pose was copied from a picture, however in the original the claws where open - imagine the eagle swooping down to grab something it's hunting and you'll get it, so it may be the claws. Couldn't find any good reference images for closed claws at that angle unfortunately. Thank you for the feedback none the less and will bear it in mind. Glad you like the shading though, took forever! Thanks again =)
