I'm not sure how good this is. I've gotten some positive feedback and was encouraged to submit it, but I'm not entirely happy with much other than the pauldrons, chest and head.

Looking through your work I'd say that this is your best piece although you could have spent more time on the background as it looks a little plain. Also the left leg (his left) of the character seems a bit too sketchy at the top. Other then that it's all good. They getting more up of this quality.
Yeah, most of my pictures just start as sketches so they usually end up pretty sketchy. I wasn't planning on submitting this but it was suggested that I do. This was mainly a lighting test so the background was a little last-minute. Thanks for the review! :)
