"I desire to kill the thought of man, and the faith upon which he stands"

A quote I came up with a couple days ago that was fueled by unkown anger and fear on some level. I finished watching the movie "2012" and started to think about when our end will come. Not sure if any coming date that I'll see will bring such demise but it did bring me to question my mortality and ultimately, my eternity afterwards.

I have never been shy to admit my belief in an afterlife, and my beliefs in a singular God, but I won't go as far to say that my God may be the only one above. This God may not even be a being, but maybe rather an energy that is all encompassing, that once we die, we become a part of that energy...as an everlasting notion of our memories that we get to relive and recreate possibly. Maybe a fairy tale fantasy but these are my hopes and beliefs.

Then I see those who so willingly throw away everything they hold true into the fire that is organized religion in hopes, and in most cases, fear that if they do not, then they will suffer eternally. Misguided and decieved that our natural instincts are wrong and that we must be saved from our own humanistic ways...and we must offer ourselves up for sacrifice to the living breathing demon that is our fear, that if we do not obey...then we will suffer eternally
