Another random drawing of mine. the name comes from the poem, The Spider and The Fly. the robot lures people into it's chamber, then kills them through some form of torture. It comes from a sci-fi universe I made up, Fracture, and is a leader of one of the robot factions. the other robot in contemplation is a once minion of this robot, but the Contemplator now seeks to destroy this monstrosity.

Quite imposing!

Interesting idea. I like how you incorporate the lines for wire and cable extensions. I also saw the Contemplator and have notice that the form of sketchiness is pretty good.

If you ever like to incorporate some human elements, you can do comparisons on human skeletal anatomy and the joints, gears, and moving parts of machines in which comes close to relations how movement works. Like for example, what artists did during the production of Terminator. I actually know a good reference source from a popular artist or artists from a book that does illustrations on cybernetics. I'll look for it and PM you the link.

thanks for the link and reference. those types of cybernetics based off of human joints is always a bonus (plus, i can't draw people, so learning musculature and skeletal stuff will be awesome to learn).

Nice

As MrDonkeydong155 already said, there are quite a lot of NG users who will flame at you for your white BGs... but it's nothing of matter.
I like the arms of your machine! Keep up the nice work, eh!

shadowthe1337 responds:

Yeah, the arms are my favorite part, and I like to combine form and function. I needed something that would be unrelenting and sturdy, hence the end metal parts, but able to be manipulated into strange and wierd positions ("The better to eviscerate you, my dear!"), as it does like tourture. and taking over the worlde and the rest of the Sol system.

Very cool!

Again, this is a very menacing and creative machine. One criticism is that I think it could benefit by having a background. It doesn't have to be a creative background, it could just be a single color like in my works. I could see this being more chilling with a fully black background, and then the head and arms of this robot coming out of the shadows. I don't really see anything wrong with it, but people on here can hate on it for having a plain white background. Keep up the good work, though, I do like what I see :)

yeah, all of my work is on paper, blank, and no computer editing tools, so backgrounds are a bit of a pain, but if I end up drawing one, I'll combine and re-post.
