Used a reference to make this pic. I tried doing this image last year and after looking at it, i decided that I knew I could do a better job one year later. Out of all the things i could hate myself for, I messed up the date when signing this hahaha, put F20/2010 instead of 2011
damnit. lol

amazingly perfect!

wowwww! is the word!
i love your work man!

Uncanny Valley

This is really good man. But its to the point where it almost looks so realistic, that its strange looking. Which is by no means a bad thing, its just between a healthy looking human and something that looks prosthetic. Google the uncanny valley and you'll know what I mean if you don't, which I'm sure you do, being the great artist you are.

Overall, awesome work man.

SgtPooter responds:

ive never heard of that term actually, but thats pretty cool, thank you for showing me

i think subconsciously my goal is to hit a high point of realism when i do pictures, as you can see when comparing this with the older version i linked. Its taken awhile, but I see what you mean when bringing up the uncanny valley effect, and from now on whenever i make a picture ill probably be, again subconsciously, more aware to not make it look eerie looking hahaha

thanks for the comment
