Storytelling Chaos

Share

Remember when random shapes were the starting point of childish stories? I realised that it was just a primitive way of organising chaos into some sort of form and this was how this image came about. Can you tell what was intentional and what wasn't?
Medium used: Watercolour pencils and ink and a cheap scanner

Cool beans

I really like your use of colors and abstract characters and designs.
Something about this style that calms my frazzled nerves and makes me feel at home.
I'll definitely be checking out more of your work.

serenekitchen responds:

this piece was done when i was feeling quite disjointed and stressed. its nice to know that it helped calm you as it did me

Lovely concept, and execution!
But why the middle-school anime faces?
Why oh why.

serenekitchen responds:

I was in a delicate and fragile place, like a glass flower basking in the blue moonlight of despair. LOL i dunno

hmmmmm

very very weird is all i have to say..... i like it!! But it seems it needs a better background in my opinion but other than that not to shabby!

serenekitchen responds:

I agree with the background, its a tone of painful white! Its due to the scanner though.Yeah it is weird this piece, there is a sunset animal that sucks nighttime for fuel, two lovers reuniting, a monster getting it's teeth checked out and trees eroding. *shrug*
