Vile Red Falcon Metal

Share

An alternate reality where the heroic aliens defend their organic planet from an evil mechanized army led by Red Falcon. Made in Gimp.

This will be either my penultimate art or my last art before I take a break for Pico Day at Philadelphia. I will remain active in this website.

Cool

So this was cool I really love the colors here seems like red goes with anything I did think this piece lacked some blinking lights and maybe more glowing red eyes that would be my tip for the day though but overall I found this piece to be pretty awesome very nice design just some added shine would be really cool anyways keep up the great Sprite work

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
Some added shine and sparkle on this one

~X~

The fist thing that came in my head was "Contra 3: Alien Commando Edition" XD
But seriously, this is amazing. My favorite thing is the Megazord-snake styled boss. I liked the athmosphere too, the sprites and background are very technological but the aliens organic aesthetics clashes the robotic environment completely. Another well done piece in my opinion :)

Also since you asked, I would like to mention my favorite Konami game: Ganbare Goemon 2 - Kiteretsu Shougun Magginesu. This game have it all: well done graphics, amazing OST, perfect character controls... the list goes on. I'm sorry if I'm overrating it but this is for me a perfect exemple of good gaming experience. I'm really sad to see what Konami turned to be after all this amazing years.

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Yeah I know how you felt when Konami ceased Hudsonsoft (most of the games of the latter company belongs to the former), cancelling Silent Hill series (Silent Hill 2 on Xbox was my memories) and going to the pachinko route. I hope some good companies don't go the same route as Konami and Capcom did...

what do you use to make this awesome piece of art?

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Using references I got from the internet made with skills and Gimp because I'm too poor to own Photoshop (I wish I bought it someday).
