The Rythm Kicks In

Another go at practising anatomy and shading. Once again done in pen, biro in particular. I've been practising drawing characters in dynamic poses and testing out my skill at drawing parts of the body correctly and getting the proportions right.

Hope you enjoy it, please leave a review with any advice or constructive feedback.

good work

the figure is not in the right perspective. it looks pretty contorted. and the head is way off. You can add more contrast by cross hatching more tho!

Safst3r responds:

Thanks, I'll take what you said about the shading in mind. Although I'm confused about what you mean by the perspective, if you have the time could you please PM me as regards to this? It would help alot :) Thanks.

:o

This is reaallyy pretty.

seems like an honest attempt but

yea man, the arms are way short, the face is guesswork, and the shading doesn't tell the viewer anything about the form.

ask a friend to pose for you, or more effectively, look in a mirror. you need to be able to record the figure before you can make it up.

Safst3r responds:

Thanks for the advice. I frequenty take pictures of my friends in poses and attempt to draw from that but this time I felt like having a go at doing it from my imagination.
I see what you mean about the shading but unfortunately I can't do much else with a biro : /

Well, I know I've still got a long road ahead of me. Thanks for the review.
