Was inspired by a really cool ink painting by Andrew Mar on Tumblr, so I decided to bust out the watercolors and inks again.

Note: That blob-like thing floating above her head is supposed to resemble a fireball or a wisp, but the reflective ink I used doesn't reveal itself well when scanned.

Tons to like about this, even if the scan was a bit too bright, hardly a big whoop. 5/5, nice V shaped composition and stipplings of detail on the sides (dress).
As an aside to this, I'd like to see more anatomy based on non-human things, we see people every day, but a variety of wildlife, hardly ever. Always good to think of bone structure first.. Lol, bringing this up, 'cause the ref-pic had some wonderful multiple melons that looked really natural, even if they weren't... natural?

Haha kidding aside, thanks for the review! I've really been feeling like my stuff has started to stagnate lately. It's too stiff and I'm itching to draw something with more dynamic angles or foreshortening. Pinups are great, but they're really limiting me when I could be practicing all kinds of other things.
