The Birth of Frida

Share

...GOTCHA!

A parody of "THE BIRTH OF VENUS" by Sandro Botticelli.
Ain't she purdy? :D

I'm studying second-year Art History in college this semmester, and it's extremely boring, so this was the horrible, horrible result of my being bored. Figured I should scar some of you for life, just for the shits and giggles. >;D

The lovely face that you see here is that of Frida Kahlo, a famous European/Mexican painter who was known almost as much for her caterpillar unibrow as she is for her artwork.

There's your boobie, Newgrounds! <3
Happy new year!!

When you're bored or procrastinating, this is how your mind escapes the ennui, and achieves FRIDom!

(sorry, couldn't resist) ^_^'

Frida had a tortured but beautiful life

This is a representation of her that I'm not sure how she'd feeling about. Although it seems tastefully executed. I find it ironic also that she didn't comprise herself to be very feminine in real live either, because of how involved Birth of Venus is with the female idea. The colors are excellent too.

I like it.

It's really funny I bet Frida would get a good laugh out of this.

Affanculo :/
