Puppet Zelda - Revisited

Share

Digitally painted over one of my old puppet Zelda drawings from 2008 that I never posted here.
Still not entirely happy with it, but if you check out the old version, you'll see why. lol

Old version which is still on DeviantART:

I like the Iron-fisted taciturn look you gave her Makes her look Scary. I wonder why they've never made Zelda The Villain in one of the games, like if they made a Gritty Legend of Zelda Game it would be fitting to have Dark Link return along side her

Cant go wrong with some zelda

Wow this was a beautiful design really some nice visuals here, and this was one piece that does not need no changes and whatnot, Absence of firm visible line work goes well with promoting a softness, In this particular case the texture of her hair is made to look soft and flowy as it blows in the opposite direction, A horizontal layout of the drawing allows for parts of the hair to be seen as it flows along with the entirety of the female’s face as it’s in focus, The oily shade of her eyes the pastel blue of her complexion and the elongated, elf-like ears generate a fantasy appearance. Still the facial features appeal to a nice medium between cartoon and reality.

This looks way better than the original one in. The shading is way more dynamic, and the eyes looks more colorful than the old version.

I think not being entirely happy with some of my art is one of my weaknesses.
Everytime that happens, you just can't quite put your finger on it.

But i atleast think it looks great. And i seriously can't think of anything you could improve on with this newer version. You did a great job :)

Hehe, thanks!

Everyone's their own worst critic, but trust me, it's a good thing!
If you can spot flaws in your work, it means you're getting better and you're able to improve. Imagine if you still thought the doodles you made as an 12 year old still looked absolutely flawless. You'd still be drawing like an 12 year old! :P

YESH! I love Twilight Princess! I would go as far as to say it is my favorite LOZ game, Great job dude.

I like it, but it's so clean cut... that's why I like the old version better. Good job, I'm a huge fan, and I like this a lot. Nose should be pointier though, and ears bigger and pointier. But I like it how it is as well.
