Life Study Gesture Drawing

Share

Ah what the hell, I'll put these up in the art portal, too.

These charcoal sketches were all done as warm-ups for my previous course's life drawing unit. We drew both male and female models, but only had about a minute to draw each pose.

The more 'stickman-like' outlined figures were drawn in 30 seconds, while the shaded ones were drawn in 1-2 minutes.

I'll post some more refined versions of these in a bit! <3
Hope you like 'em!

Anatomocally correct Posturing and poses are the most complex and yet important thing in artistry good seeing that you're practicing that sabtastic

Would love to see you push the gesture pose FURTHER! Give some real life to their poses...

Great progress!

I know... I wish I could do it more often!
I've been to this one place that charges 10 bucks per drop-in session, but it's way out of the way, and I usually work when they have models in.

Been wanting to do more digital gesture work like this-- I'm kinda slow in comparison to traditional drawing mediums.

these rough sketches are simply wonderful... i could see you done simple pictures of these models in a story... nice work here i think
