Colour Pallette Monster Girl

Share

UPDATED IMAGE: Fixed her two lowest arms thanks to some helpful critiques from JohnnyUtah. Thanks Jeff!

Tried a different stylistic approach with my digital painting today...!

Started with five colours (red, blue, yellow, white and orange) and built a character completely around that palette. In this case I ended up with a weird multi-armed alien lady!

Also tried to use colour hues and values appropriately so this image would still make sense if I gray-scaled it -- so I practiced more with lights and darks.

ANOTHER thing I tried to do is create an interesting silhouette. Also the weird objects she's holding are just me trying to create an interesting made-up narrative. :V

ANYWAY I'm not making a lot of sense; it made sense at the time. Really I was just messin' around. HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE IT - I LEARNED LOTS.

I love the shape of the character, Nice work!!

It's like a demonic Crystal Gem!

That is one demon I do not want to bump into. Knife, heart, needle and thread.....sounds like trouble to me.

Really well done. The left leg looks a little weird to me. If you added some background to it i think it would really add to the picture. Maybe a cave or hell looking background, maybe even a dungeon theme. That demon just looks like she is doing some wicked stuff.

Beautifull piece!Loving the style!

Wow. Loving the lack of black lining. The yellow background was the perfect choice for the character to pop out smoothly. Good work Sab
