Bioshock - Family Portrait

Share

A very overdue Bioshock Infinite commission.
The Comstock family, specifically: Elizabeth with her mother and father (Booker).

Sorry if the old-timey photo effect seems kind of forced/cheesy. Wanted it to look like a family portrait from the 1800s.

Hope you like it!

wow this is really great i love the old picture look to it, never stop drawing!!!

This is beautiful piece of art. You have the right expressions for the woman in front and the man. I know that the expression of the woman behind is rarely accurate, but I like it.

I doubt it'll be relevant to your future art, but folks in the 1800s didn't smile for photos. The exposure time was too long and if you moved in the slightest the picture came out weird so everyone had stern faces, whether relaxed or seemingly frowning, because those were easier to maintain for the time it took for the film to become exposed.

Also, didn't Lady Comstock die very shortly after Elizabeth's birth?

As far as the actual style goes, you did a great job, but Elizabeth's face seems a bit more defined than anything else in the entire piece I think which strikes me as odd.

Anyhoo, good job! Love your work, as always!

Nice work Sab, haven't played it yet hahahah, but I dig the color style going with the sepia tone!

Amazing! I love the old photographic look and how the characters are identical to the ones in the game which is of course what you were going for but had to say it. Nice job!
