I drew this while using a Pokemon card as reference, I'm not sure who created the artwork for the card though. This is the last Pokemon I drew where I heavily follow my reference. It's tricky because I always feel way more pressure when I draw from imagination, it doesn't turn out as good as when I'm meticulous with following reference, conversely it's more fun and liberating to draw characters without heavily relying on your reference, even if it won't look as good. I don't like posting stuff I'm not at least 95% satisfied with on Newgrounds, unfortunately I'm rarely that satisfied. I have Charizard and Squirtle finished and they are drawn more freely, maybe I'll post one of them if I feel it's good enough to be on here, we'll see.
