The Raven

I was walking home one day a few years back, when I noticed a lone raven on a tree branch. The tree was barren, as it was some time in December or so, but a fresh rain had left some dew on the branches, giving the scene an austere tranquility I didn't expect to encounter.

And I thought, hell, I'll paint it. Hope you enjoy.

The Raven

The Raven itself looks awesome, but I don't like the look of that branch it is sitting. In the background the branches are well done. Also raven is my favorite bird. Fix the branch it is sitting and it is perfect.

PS. I like also the fog in this picture.

Nevermore

This was crafted with extreme and exquisite skill. It can only remind me of Edgar Aleen Poe's "The Raven". By the way, what did you write one the sides. Is it in Japanese? It looks Korean more so, but I have never been talented in distinguishing characters.

Thanks for the kind words. It is Japanese, though I can see how you'd think it was Korean. It's the kanji for 'karasu' (crow or raven).
