Second in a series of paintings I did of places I visited in Japan. This is of a torii gate you may've seen in a place called Miyajima just outside of Hiroshima. It's often shown at sunset, but even on the overcast day I saw it, it was a sight to behold. Oil on canvas, 2008. Enjoy!

This is very beautiful. I rarely see people draw things like this so it makes me happy I came across this. I love the colors and how it was all done, great job (^.^)

realy like it

the painting is great realy well done, i like the factt tht the water has nearly gne it puts it in a different perspective.
the shading and colours are put 2getha well.
keep up the gd work

Wow

Man, I love Japan, and I must absolutely love this painting.
Toriis sure got their own "aura", it's something that can't be explained with words, and you made the magic happen. A priceless fine piece of art and well of emotions.
Long live the Oriental beauty. 5 stars, 10/10, no regrets.
