Mars - The earky days

Share

The Forth planet from the sun.

Mars is a terrestrial planet, which means its like the earth and Venus.

Mars is called the red planet because many ancient civilizations associated its reddish color with the blood of battle and named the planet for the Roman god of war;Mars.

Mars has two moons Phobos and deimos, Phobos being the biggest.
And also seen in the picture.

Wow...

This would make a perfect background in a game. It is interesting and has plenty of detail, but still seems simple enough that it wouldn't be distracting.

It's too bad I'm not planning a space side-scroller; this is exactly the type of background I would use.

Amazing!

I really like this work. Everything in it is just incapsulating, the textures that cover it are used to your advantage in just making everything that much more realistic and appealing. I just feel as if I could get sucked into this 'Mars'. Haha.

For some reason I really like the shape of the right moon, how it's not typically round and is a little squirrelly in the shape. It adds to the piece wonderfully. The depth is just amazing in this entire landscape.

The only negative comment I have is I am wondering about the sun, and the lighting. It seems as if its more of a dusk scene, than an afternoon scene, and I'm just wondering if the sun should be lower in the sky a little bit. Nothing big, and I could be wrong, it is another planet after all, things could be different.

All in all, very solid. I like it.

Thanks for your review.

Greatly apreciated.

One point though:

You mentioned the sun being in sortof the wrong place. well to be honest, i never actually said it was an afternoon scene ;).

You actually confused me abit, had to read that bit a few times to realise what you meant! lol

Thanks alot anyway!
