This is pretty honest work.
(EDIT: Added a brief explanation of what this painting is supposed to mean)
The idea behind this is that there are things that we cannot get rid of. We try, but we're sort of stuck with them. They're usually not things we're proud of. They're kind of unconscious (or knowingly conscious) reasons of why we are the way we are. The skull represents those things. Some of us have depression, some of us have severe anxiety, some of us have suicidal thoughts, some of us have crippling insecurities.. The naked woman portrays our core, our inner being, which is why she's naked. The environment is the representation of the distortion from what's right and wrong that can cloud our judgement.. Sometimes it makes us feel more secure, sometimes it makes us want to keep these things, because we're afraid we'll be worse off without them?
We sometimes clutch these things even though we know they're not best for us. Maybe we believe they're a part of who we're meant to be?
Sometimes I just think way too much about things like this.
This is pretty honest work.
Eyy thanks, I need to do more work with emotions and feelings again.
That is some deep shit....
I too love the lighting, it makes the image very dramatic. The digitized effect that creeps across the image add a decomposition effect. Anatomically brilliant, especially with the human skull. Forgot to mention, the lighting also adds to the overall emotion of the image. Speaking of, the face is really good at portraying anguish, maybe a lost friend?
Thank you very much, and no lost friends, I've been very fortunate with that. But I appreciate the review!
Sexy.
