And then this happens.

Our protagonist from the "cinematic fight scene" picture killed the dudes that were hunting him down.. So he took the best gun of theirs he could find and ran outside. He later then had a rendezvous with his partner piloting a stolen mechanized gunner-walker.

"10 miles till we reach the safe-zone, can you make it with those two tanks of oxygen?"

"Yeah.. Let's go."

"There aren't any enemies till the safe-zone on radar.. Odd, but I won't argue, a free-shot home never hurts, I'll lead the way and you follow. Stay close, they might be using a radar-jamming device."

"Alright."

And so they left. Not even 3 miles into their journey home, a nearby mountain starts to errupt...

The mechanized walker crawls to a halt.

"What are you stalling for..?" the protagonist who I just now decided his name is Art questions.

"Shit."
