I did this about a year ago, one of my first drawings that I started by using scanned ink and paper, and finished in Painter and Photoshop using a Tablet. I based this on the flashbacks to the apocalypse from Miyazaki's Nausicaa, as it was used on the inside of a 4-Panel insert for a CD by The Saints Collapse, called "The Seven Days of Fire" (also a Nausicaa reference).

A lot messier than something I would normally aim for, as I was trying to focus more on action and immediacy rather than cleanliness and character definition. It's also super long because a 4 panel fold-out has a 1:4 aspect ratio, which was interesting to work with. I really have a thing for panoramic-style ratios... but, generally speaking, I find 3-panel to be a much easier span to work with. As far as CD covers go, anyways. Thhhhaattttss all.

Really awesome work. The texture and angle of the picture make it look so epic. Also, nice job capturing one of the giant warriors, I saw the reference immediately. I also liked the way you used the giant in a modern theme. Couldn't have done it better. 10/10 5/5

I wonder who this Rock Band is?

It sure has that Miyazaki inspiration....though a bit on the dark side might I add.

It is quite dark! But amazingly good!

I love the detail on this art. It looks so realistic. The colors were very good, I don't see anything bad about it.
