I made a disgustingly cute christmas card for Illustration friday. I thought I'd inflict it on you lot.
I love the sketchy style. Did you do the background digitally or with traditional watercolor?

As for the background, it was a combination of the two. The sky you see there started off life as a piece of paper with lots of ink and pigment splashed over it. Scanned it, messed about with the curve function and contrast a bit, tweaked it a bit with liquify and added snow in photoshop. Voila.
