First off I want to say that doing something in color is so far out of my comfort zone that even after I did this I had to fight myself not to turn it back to black and white. Aside from that everything in this picture was something new, multiple characters, dynamic poses, facial expressions, and even an interesting camera angle. In my opinion this is not my best executed piece just in the fact that everything was so foreign. The struggles I had in this were unlike any other drawing I have done and I learned a lot in the end. One step further to sharpening my weaknesses into my strengths, and a sigh of relief.

I will be adding a Speedpainting of this soon enough.

P.S. Just for the considerate comments from Jazza and his Draw with Jazza Artist Showcases, I added a tiny skull as the cape clasp of the character on the left. Thanks again!

This is amazing...i could stare at the hair details all day...my only complaint would be.... i feel like the shading is too soft...you could probably add a mix of hard brush strokes with the soft instead of all soft.... mainly on the cyclops...but other then that i applaud you on the details..this is very inspiring. Makes me want to challenge myself a lot more. Great Job.

Oh how considerate of you to add the skulls just for me! haha. I'm glad your pushing your boundaries, I'm sure you're leaning how hard color can be to work with, especially considering the ambition of your lighting! Be wary when painting in your colors of using black - black is not a natural color. A shadow on or inside a yellow or blue object is not black, it is a darker shade of yellow or blue, and to paint black over top in many cases, is jarring to the natural feel of the colors. Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewers eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. The painting style you have going on here lacks solidity, the edges are somewhat unrefined, but inside and on the outer edges of the shapes/characters. Don't be afraid to have some hard edges and contrast where they're needed. Overall you're doing really well! Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me!
