After the last picture I did of Ezio, I decided to take my time on a picture where I use absolutely zero references. Now this was a fairly large step for me seeing as how my best work has always come from when I was able to look at a picture and replicate it.
I also challenged myself to make it as detailed as I possibly could, so with this one as you scroll in, more and more detail shows up. Being a complete brain child with nothing to help me with the form there are a few things that may seem a bit off. Also the contrast of it may skew depending on your computer.
Thanks for checking it out!
Edit: I just noticed that the transition from a psd file to a jpeg did blur some of my small details. I hope it didn't detract too much!

Again, another good piece! To have such a piece without references shows you're willing to really work at it- and I think you really let your imagination help create a better piece; this is something to be proud of. There could be a few small improvements, like a bit of additional metallic sheen on the highlighted parts of the armor, as well as a bit more wear and shadowing on the not-lit side. But a well deserved 5/5 for how you made this.

Glad to read in the description that you're legitimately challenging yourself. THAT is the mark of a truly good artist. You continue to impress me! Your understanding of shade and light, your bravery when it comes to contrast and detail, and your skills in composition, really show your impressive potential. I'm adding you to my favorites, keep it up!

Thanks for the great words! Every time I get a review from you it makes my day!

Very very well done for having no references, the Jewels came out very nicely along with the leather buckle.
Their could have been some more minute details around where the gouges formed, and maybe some texture in the lights, especially that left side shoulder plate, and the leather strap looks a little too thin to me.
And if I'm not mistaken, weren't you featured on Jazza's showcase?

Randombarimen responds:

Hey thanks for the good observations and I will definely work on it during my next project. Being my first refined free handed piece I came across a lot of complications that I had to work though. And yes I was featured for my ezio piece. I entered this one into his showcase as well and hope to at least have it shown lol.
