What is up with the "Friday Flood" thing?

really like the overlap in this piece.
makes depth really apparent to the viewer, which makes it a very convincing image.

the outline around the dragon looks different than the other outlines. I like the somewhat fuzzy outline of the trees closest to use, because it gives atmospheric perspective. But, the outline of the dragon is way too dark.

other than that I really like this image, especially the tail curling over the mountain.

I'm liking how you've shown the depth of the image via the dark-foreground-light-background, and the blurriness of stuff up close and far away.

I find the central hill covers too much of the dragon up for it to capitalise on it's content, and too much of the dragon is visible to make it shrouded in mystery. Also I find that the bold straight silhouette of the mountain make it difficult to appreciate there are conifers on the hill - no matter the distance.

Ramatsu responds:

bummer :(

depth

You've got some great depth in this drawing, but it doesn't really come across. I'd say the mountain in front of the dragon should be as defined as the dragon itself give it sharper outlines. I'd have probably put some of the dark you have below the dragon now behind him too, to set him apart from the mountains behind him.
You digitally colored the sky right? no big fan of that; I like the pencil shading on the mountain on the left, would have preferred that in the entire piece.

Ramatsu responds:

yeah i was meaning to outline the mountain in front of him with slightly thicker outlines but i ran out of time and had to get it scaned while my neighbor was still home. I was trying to make those mountains look "atmospheric perspective-e" didn't quite work out that those mountains were a bit further away.

not really digitally color but more of like smudging because the sky didnt look much of a sky when it was scanned you can see all the pencil scribbles in it, didnt look like that when it wasnt scanned but i wanted it to look more like a sky, sorry your not a fan.

I have really Got to quit Procrastinating

Another massive dragon. Wow.

I have honestly got to sstart doing better time management.

Awesome detail on the dragon, but one thing I really love is your mountains. Those are really impressive. Hell the whole damn thing is pretty fucking sweet.

Ramatsu responds:

hey, thanx and yeah procrastinating can be a problem, but sometimes it does help oddly enough.
