Hedgefund for Souls

Share

Character: Orc wizard that's on fire with a really cool mustache-beard combo.
Scene: Maze that's windy with a demon altar.

Backstory: Gunk was a small orc, deemed unfit for war and banished from his home. In revenge, he began mastering the arcane arts. This process culminated in summoning the Eye of Sormal which would allow him full mastery over his chosen craft. If he were seen as worthy. The fires of rejection burn ever hotter.

Okay, so I'm not super noob at art, but I am very unpracticed and unexperienced with the medium I'm using for this and honestly I haven't kept up with art like I wanted to so I had a hard time figuring out if I'm a beginner for this or not. (I'm very experienced in other mediums...) I went with regular open and I'm glad I'm not in this for the win.

Done with a mouse... #apixelatatime. Honestly I like the demon-eye altar thing and the orc wizard's face the best. I mostly do pixel art digitally because it's easier with the mouse and I tried to shy away from that, but fell into old habits a bit on his face because it's so small relatively. (Perhaps I should have embraced that style, but next time.)

Yes, the title is a pun because it's a hedge maze. I couldn't help it.

That's the link to my DeviantArt for the in-progress.
PS: (There's a shark in the tornado...)
