Enjoyable piece. It has a very "Shadow of the Colossus"-type feel to it, though it's admittedly more organic and personal.

try this cool trick to make those runes even more awesome!
copy the runes, add a small gaussian blur.
copy blurred layer and switch it to color dodge.

Are those tree's really really tall or does he just have stumpy legs? I feel like an ass for asking, maybe I am.
It is pretty epic however!
