The angle is so strong and the texture is pretty good! The surrealistic approach is also fantastic and the dark cold blue adds a lot to the piece! Great work!!!

Good Greetings People!!
This is my entry for Jazza's Challenge of the Month for July2015,by hearing about the theme, the first thing that came up in my mind was a famous quote by Mitch Albom, “Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week. There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your car. You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner or a movie. Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. an alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out.”
“As mankind grew obsessed with its hours, the sorrow of lost time became a permanent hole in the human heart. People fretted over missed chances, over inefficient days; they worried constantly about how long they would live, because counting life’s moments had led, inevitably, to counting them down. Soon, in every nation and in every language, time became the most precious commodity.”
In my personal experience i never found monsters or ghosts fearful.. its just a sudden "bump" for a moment but you recover from it inevitably. Time is something which makes us humans feel trapped in a cage which will never open for us until the end of our life, the fear of this is somewhat unending so with this i started to use every bit of my creative brain juices.. and came up with this.. Hope you all like my attempt, and i wish every participant a very goodluck for the competition. :)

Definetly a great piece. Light and dark values are really well done and placed, giving a sensation of realsim, even with such a surreal atmosphere. The clock as the moon is a magnificient idea and does not seem out of place. I particularly like the tree which reminds me of some Tim Burton's movies. I had a lot of fun twhile trying to find all the skulls hidden in the sky. The only thing that might be reworked is the person iside the hourglass. It is there, yet the eye isn't much attracted toward him at first. Unless that was the goal. Even there, I don,t understand why is face is that distorded. He looks more of an ape than a human being. Other than that, awesome job. I can tell the love ^^

Thanks a ton for your views on the piece i really appreciate it :D And actually yeah i made the guy look kinda like ape on purpose... i wanted to show someone being trapped inside an unbreakable prison and how brutal it could get if every second is a step towards his demise.. he'll get weary and old and ofc grow his beard and hair :p but yeah i agree i should have worked even more on that guy.. thank you so much again and i am glad you had alot of fun with this artwork.. i wish goodluck to you!! :D

hi Paskel, thank you so much for your awesome comment, you literally made my day.. this means alot to me and specially it encourages me to work even harder than before :) thanks again.. and yeah it would be my pleasure to give you my critiques on your piece but honestly i am fairly new to this, so im not sure if my thoughts and suggestion would be helpful to you but i'll try my best. i'll do as soon as i finish this.., in fact this is my first time submitting an entry in jazza's cotm but literally this has been an amazing experience.. i wish you and your fellow friends who is participating in the contest a hearty goodluck :)
