this looks like it was made for animation. and things that look like they were made for animation are usually stickfigures, so this is nice

Probably. But they're contracting more out of fear than due to the lighting, which, incidentally, has been VERY much exagerrated for the purposes of dramatic tension. I don't think you could get that stark a contrast between lit and shaded regions in reality.
Although uneven pupil dilation COULD be pretty dramatic. Points to low blood sugar, possible neurological crises like strokes or seizures. Lord knows what this poor guy is going through.
I must remember this for the future! lol

That guy looks like he didn't get too much sleep last night :)
It's kinda boring, the colouring is alright but there's that weird green on the viewer's right and it's mostly black in the center but the light goes quickly back to normal on the viewer's left.
I guess it's alright since it's a still from an animation but as a piece of art it's rather boring. In my opinion.

I can appreciate that. My intent was more to give people a taste of what the art style was gonna be like than anything else; if you look at the stuff they did for Majora's Mask you'll see where I got it from lol.
Truth be told, though, I originally posted this in the forums to try and get rescouted, since after the Art Portal got hacked everyone lost their scouted status. And since it was in the forums, I figured I'd post it in the Portal. Never dreamed this would get front-paged, either. Hopefully the cartoon fares just as well ^_^

I WAS scouted before, but if you'll recall the hacking fiasco that wiped out the Art Portal, I never got rescouted after that.
