Didn’t we all grow up on captivating good stories as a kid? Nothing could beat that “edge of your seat” feeling when your were waiting for a narrator to get to the climax of their tale. We all felt connected to those far-away, imaginary characters because of the power of a good narrative. With age. Of course, the inkling to those characters has faded, but our love for a good story has remained.
The importance of proper contextualizing can be described as such: Let’s say your friend shows up at your doorstep with a new product and reads you an entire sales script about how much they’re enjoying their purchase. Wouldn’t that be too odd?
How it works is, your friend will first give you a background about their purchase decision and then all about your product before recommending that you should also buy your own. Now imagine, that friend is a company trying to sell you that product. It is easy to see how you would be more likely to consider a purchase if a direction is strategically placed somewhere in a story that’s just too hard to not to be a part of.
So, if your aim is to get out there and tell your brand story. Here are a few simple, but effective tips to make your story heard well.
