Clay Bitey

Share

Well, it's finally here, CLAY BITEY of the Brackenwood series. I got the most requests for this character more then any others. But not only as the winner of the first ever Tank awards, he was someone I have always wanted to do, so he was unavoidable anyway.

He is taller then most of my other figures (but not as tall as some of the robots.), his full length should be at 5 1/2 inches This is probably the first time I had to use 'fur' for something, so please be nice. Unfortunately, I feel that some of the detail has been smudged up a little this, but luckily it doesn't show up good on camera (lol, one of the rare times my camera actually made something look BETTER. :P) Fans of the Brackenwood series should notice that I also made a 'Fat-Sack' mini accessory, 2cm big. I like it too.

Sorry if it's not what you were expecting, but it could have been worse. I worked really hard on this one, so I hope you like it! (Can anyone see the secret character in the background?)

Bitey, Fat-Sack, and Brackenwood are owned by Adam Phillips.

Nice design in this clay mold

The lighting on this one makes it look too bright I love the details here in this one and you really make it jump out so Nice creation of a clay mold its unique in its own right so Nice design in this clay mold its always nice to see some talent in these mold designs and builds you have put a lot of energy into this.

~~SUGGESTED IDEAS~~
maybe a different type of lighting effect

Might just be one of your most detailed clay figures to date

Brilliant work

I just hope Fatsack bounces.

PikaRobo responds:

Nah, it will just squish against the floor. :P

Detailed

It looks like he's ready to kick the Fat-Sack clear across to the other table! However, his feet in some of the pictures look slightly strange and don't actually touch the table, so instead he's leaning on his heels rather than standing. Just fix them up a bit.

PikaRobo responds:

Oooooh... I was hoping nobody would notice that... :(

The explanation for that is that his legs are not very stable or well balanced. If you noticed his legs are slightly arched, and with the rather weak wire holding it all in place, I have to choose between making it look closer to it's animation counterpart, or revamp them to make him stand properly, so I choose detail over stability. This clay combination doesn't harden or get baked, so the only support is in the wires (two in each leg). Even with something to lean on he still had some trouble standing 'properly', and I was afraid that if I kept fidgeting with it, the two wires will break through the knees or something, and we don't want that do we. ...Can we pass it off as leaning?

Too lazy too read?: It's not as much fixing the figure, it's just the position. Making him stand on his hooves was just a tad difficult. But it's probably something that can be solved with a bit of effort. I could have it hang on to something so it gives that effect though...

wait what whoa

These are fantastic, nice job! Love the detail you've put in his hair and horns. Poor lil fatsack looks so vulnerable haha you've captured him really well. Lovely work :D

PikaRobo responds:

Thanks man, that's awesome coming from you! :D
