Clay Alloy

Share

Alloy is finally here! I was finishing up most of the extra detail today. If there is any piece you see missing I will try to fix that up. And if any part looks sloppy, blame it on the fact he is 2 1/2 inches tall. I kind of feel bad since this is basically bringing back memories of the old Alloy action figure that I seen on Mindchamber's site. I don't want to go into detail about it since that will probably make things worse, so look for it yourself. (if only it would have happened...).

Anyway trying to get back to the NGRclay one. Yes, even though I have seen the old model before, I didn't use it much for reference. I mainly looked at the NGR/ Alloy Arena design and some parts of the original Alloy trailer. As I said before many pieces of my models (not just the Newgrounds ones) fall apart, well this was is the absolute MOST delicate. It is almost like the perfect analogy of a broken robot, if it falls over it separates into pieces! It was also the hardest to make stand. You would think with such huge feet he should stand on his own, right? Well that's not the case since the feet have nothing holding the front parts together (It is possible if I made his feet apart of his legs he would probably stand easily, I'll give it a try.)

Unfortunately, there are no accessories this time. I am actually disappointed myself, as Alloy has so many weapons I could have made. However if I have enough time or if I make an update I may include a chainsaw and machine gun, they should be quick to make. There are better pictures, this is just a bad angle but has the best front quality of what I took.

2 more to go... Who will be the more epic final character?

Cool design and mold

Really unique character in clay backround seems fitting Well this was a nice design and mold creation you have here, Its the little things that really pop off well from this mold design you have created some nice and creative works here so nice job, but anyways keep up the amazing efforts and keep making amazing stuff like this.

It paid off

It's nice when you attach a story to something that is an actual photograph. It gives you a great sense of wanting to go out and do something. I really appreciated the little molds and everything in this. What I found to be the most impressive was how I didn't see any fingerprints on the design. I look back at older stuff by Knox and noticed it looked kind of aged compared to more modern things. You really worked hard to do this character justice.

I even like how you put him on this cool looking table top. I guess that might sound weird, but it's an interesting place to have that. It's stuff like this that makes me wish there was more claymation stuff on this website. I would love to see a submission featuring your creations in actual motion. Thank you for working on something so good looking.

cool!!!!

as everything you make, this is awesome!, but i got a couple of questions:

first i want to know : is it me or the left eye is smaller than the left one? and.....
did you put something inside the legs or what ?, i mean:
HOW COULD YOU MAKE THOSE THIN LEGS SUPPORT THAT BIG BODY????

apart from that, this one is a really good clay sculpture keep it up dude!!!!!

PikaRobo responds:

Yeah, there are wires to support everything else. And the left eye is not smaller then the left one, because they are the same eye.
:D

.....

i love ur sculptures but u made the chest to big on this one

PikaRobo responds:

Usually I would say "blame the angle" or something like that, but I actually went all the way up to my room so I can revisit the Alloy figure. The chest DOES look a little bit big, but not by much (It might be a bit to WIDE but not necessarily to big) it's mostly how you view it. In my opinion, this is just another picture with a bad angle.

That's great!!

that's really cool~!!
