So this was an entry to a monthly competition over on 3D World. Which was to create a basemesh ready for zbrushing. I came 3rd! Yay. I think he could have done with a lot more to make him more original and rememorable, but time got the better of me.

So this is especially for Isemat, who wanted to see what I had been up to as of late. ;) I might still take this into Zbrush and high poly model him up.

Interesting

At the moment I can only guess why this guy is chained up (space criminal? a fantasy "area 51" creature), nor why he has those tendrils over his body (umbilical cords? cables for a lizardy-hive mind?)

9/10, but I'm being miserly, since I can't fault it other than being personally excited to see a completed one. Let me know if you ever decide to put it through Z-brush, or put some textures on it. Would love to see the end result.

Epic

This is a great idea for a boss for some sort of game. You got the 3D aspect of the creature pretty much perfect. Nice job, and you should make more of this type of 3D art.

Cool :D

Looks great! kind of simplistic as it is, but that's fine; for now it just looks like a plastic toy or something.

PeterSatera responds:

Yeah, it needs textured to make it look more realistic. Thats the next stage. :)
