Just some commission work. I was actually very pleased with the way that it came out, which is rare for me. I always feel like my work is unfinished, but this one has escaped my illogical artistic impulses

She needs some light lipstick or lip liner, or perhaps a small shine to add dimensional shape to match the eyes. She could use some arms, unless this is a a certain style of art. I love the eyes, they are warm and inviting. She seems friendly and approachable. I also love how the strands of hair are blowing, it's not too much and not too little; just right. I do not like the bow in her hair, her face is too mature to be wearing a bow and there is not enough of her to see an sort of uniform to match it.

I automatically thought "Lara Croft" when I first saw this as a thumbnail, and thought it even more when I clicked on it for full view. Was she any kind of an inspiration for this or just coincidence? Maybe it's just me? Great work.

as a fellow caricaturists (who has sold around the world) i can say whole hearty that this is wonderful work, i love how you have done the eyes. the only bad thing i can say is maybe a slight touch of shade on the mouth .

PeterNicholsonArt responds:

Wow that really means a lot! Thank you for your kind words :)
