uhhh...
... what is it?
It's an alien creature called a Snorl. Look here for more information:
I like it
I mean, it isn't the greatest work I've seen but it is different. Not to mention I love anything that is painted. Seems a lot more artistic to me to use the basics (pencils, pens, and paints) for visual arts, rather than generating everything on a computer-based program now.
I am guessing that the cups were not straight either as you said you made them in school as models, this is interesting, and I am curious as to why you chose these two objects rather than two manufactured objects that were straight, etc.
Still, great work!
I'll agree it isn't the best either (especially gradient effects with acrylics), but it's better than other stuff I've attempted in the past or in the classes I took that summer.
Truthfully, I don't know why I chose those two...maybe because they were close by, mean something to me (especially the Snorl cup), but probably because they were simple yet complicated enough to paint.
Then again, I also don't do ordinary.
Yeah, they're not straight because, well, I can't work with my hands like that. But at least I gave the Snorl race a definite shape*.
Thanks for your kind words. I hope to produce some more stuff sometime soon.
