I think Jazza's Challenge of the Month was up for maybe five seconds before I saw it and was pushed into maximum overdrive.
"So this month's challenge will be the romance between a human and a robo-" "SOLD SOLD SOLD GET OUT OF MY WAY WHERE IS MY TABLET

Not really sure of the story, here. Military scout-bot meets injured civilian in urban warzone, raids crashed ambulance, uses battery to power...life-support system after performing surgery...? Quiet, it's a classic love story. Eat your heart out, Harlequin!

You may have seen this robot in one of my Robot Day submissions: http://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/paxilon/friends-of-man?context=ratings:etm.user:2812284.scouted:.offset:71

Edit: Added a few new textures and colours.

The fact you were able to set a scene, with a robot who has no physical features or anything apart from a little face icon.. to have it showing what I'd consider to be a powerful bond. Wow. I find myself wondering what happens next and what would the injured man think when he awoke?

God damn, bloody brilliant.

This reminds me of HR Geiger, only much sweeter. He always depicted humans fused with machines, just existing. Not surprised or emotional, but in a state of being.

Congrats on the win dude, really nice piece

WOW deep.

wow when I first saw this I thought the robot was sucking the life out by taking his blood or something XD and when I saw the description my heart skipped a beat or 2.........heh I guess im just a the glass is half empty type of a guy anyway great picture man

Paxilon responds:

Hah! I never looked at it quite that way, but I would still consider it a glass half full situation if I were the robot. Mmmm.... sweet, delicious lifeblood. So good for my robo-parts.
Thanks a lot!
