A semi-realistic recreation I did of the Gorillaz album cover for 'Demon Days'. I was getting antsy near the end so I kind of bullshat my way through the shadowing and lighting effects, it could have come out a lot better. Not my most satisfactory work. I might come back to it later and touch it up a bit.
All characters owned by Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn.

Though... I think you should hunch 2D over some. The whole art idea behind Phase Two was to bend the characters a little more. In Phase One they were almost "pencil-straight", as Jamie had stated. I say curve a little more. All in all it's a great piece of work :)

I love the Gorillaz, and this is pretty good!
I think the realistic art style you have is good, try using it for other cartoon /animated things. That would be awesome!

Thank you, and I have, actually. Most of my work has a basis in Jhonen Vasquez's characters, spanning from his comics to Invader Zim. I've considered applying realism to other cartoons too like some of the South Park characters and the Simpsons.
