Another piece in the series of 13 drawings I did on claybord. These things are tiny and are meant to really emphasize the empty space that I so often use. This one was one of the smallest of all of the figures about 1.5 inches tall and nearly a 1/4 inch wide. Was also a nice chance to do a standing pose with the model as opposed to the usual laying down ones I tend to have to use.

Size: 5 X 7 Inches
Media: Pencil (6H-2H)
Paper: Claybord

Absolutely beautiful. The white space around the figure seems to suffocate her and creates a feeling of isolation. I love how the apathy can be viewed as coming from her or from outside viewers. She has literally turned her back on us, yet her diminutive size suggests that we have turned our backs on her as well. I adore all of your work, but I was drawn to this one in particular.
