A wooden hourglass with mirrored caps and golden pillars.
I'm quite proud of the reflections on the top and bottom plate in the wood.

3 hour huh?
no doubt Good job on the glass material. I can never make it look like that. I use Maya 2009 by the way. Keep it up
Cinema 4d for me. I've never tried Maya but I've heard its good. It does really annoy me how long rendering takes but now I've got a new BUUUUFFFF computer it takes piss all time :D. I'd love to see some of your work up here.

Woah...
Ignore all of those dudes, yeah sand would be cool, but without sand makes it look like its filled with water, and its strange and awesome.
Thanks I'm glad you like it.

background image
your background image should be rotated a little so it looks like the table is standing straight, also, the wood looks really nice, I find it easy to make such shaders in cinema 4d too, further it looks really realistic and I like that
Cheers I look at doing the background. I know what you mean about the wood, i love how you can see the separate strands

really good!
good choice of background image also....I suppose ur using blender?...well, so some nice particle effects would make a nice sand =).
Cheers, nah I used to use blender but I've found you can get really nice effects with cinema 4d. Though blenders liquid and particle effects are hard to beat. I think I'm gonna try to put some sand in it next but it's probably gonna take a while cause i want it to look real good.

Nice and clean.
This looks really good, but some sand in the hourglass would be a nice touch.
Cheers, yeah i know I think that's what I'm gonna do next, but I want it to look real good so it might take a while.
