This is a picture I made for AilieTheWolf.
It's based on her NG profile description.
I tried to illustrate every word within the description in this fine piece of art...
For her age it was rated A+ but NG mods have changed it :(

I'm still a novice and I think I didn't get the shading correctly yet I'm really proud of what I have done so far :)
Please rate and leave some feed back I wish to get some critiques on this piece so I can improve myself :)

Work details:

And those wooden objects are protected with some kind of magic so they won't burn quite easily :P

Very deep

And this was some very deep colors and texture especially with the deep reds and besides all that this was some very nice work

~X~

Weird, weird abs she has. Looks like some kind of arthropod's abdomen. Otherwise cool picture, and I love the way you signed it!

You deserve a lot of credit for asking for help and doing so is already setting you on the road to becoming a better artist. The anatomy of the main subject is disproportional, and your knowledge of form can be easily improved by drawing from life. For quick access to such things, here is a helpful site which is meant for artists to utilize in the practice of drawing the human form: http://artists.pixelovely.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/

One aspect I do love about your art piece here is that everything is very expressive. Characters are always most interesting when expressing emotion and action. Your colors and lines are clean, but lines are only helpful to the look of an image where there is variety; a balance between thick and thin lines. It is useful to remember that lines are an art in themselves and not there only to separate the shapes.

Make use of your light sources when you have them. Doing this will make your art feel more powerful and real. You could have light reflecting on the main subject from the computer monitor. The red light from all that fire in the background would be cast on almost everything in the scene. The beam is another powerful light source you have in there which could create a beautiful rim light around your main subject which would attribute to more focus on her.

The font and the effect for it was a good choice to help the words contrast against the background. As for what is written in there, there are a lot of grammar and word-placement issues. The main things you should focus on in your art though are anatomy and light source. The low score is only because of the Google'd images you have propped in there. Your art is always most valuable when the work is entirely your own, and remember that lighting still applies when adding outside sources.

I hope this helps and good luck to you. Keep going at it and you are destined to improve.

Oh-Sama responds:

Thanks for the review but I thought you would understand that from the description, it was a joke about Ailie's age in her profile description which is 18+ :)
