Carl & Ellie

Carl & Ellie from Pixar's Up,

A beautiful movie, and I always found it heartbreaking that she died before they could reach their dream they've been working for and saving for for all these years.

So it was time for them to finally live the dream.
Ellie as a robot nonetheless, making Carl filled with joy.

Spent a lot of time making this, had to rush towards the end to make it before the deadline, but I am very proud of this piece!

Hope you all like it, and maybe blame some onions!

Oh wow you are the one who did this one? You did a wonderful work! Maybe the arm of Ellie is a little longer and bigger. But it is cool :) Jazza saw it too :) So you used a hard brush ? I can see it:)

Nyenna responds:

Haha yeah, the cute and slightly depressing one :P And yeah, the arms went bad :D I'm not a master of anatomy (yet)! I blamed it on her being a robot, everything is possible then :P I used all different kind of brushes, I mainly used some Jonas De Ro's brushes (look him up, he's awesome!) Thank you!

I think the colors are beautiful and I love how we can see the small details. For example, I can see the texture of his pants and jacket. You did a great job!

Nyenna responds:

Thank you very much, I wanted the same level of detail throughout the entire painting, but got in a shortage of time sadly so I had to rush her and the house a bit :/

Great movie, great piece, my only criticism is that her arms don't look quite right, her left arm holding him looks too long and her right arm doesn't look like its holding the hose, its like her weight isn't on the arm.. i am not describing this very well.

Nyenna responds:

I totally agree with the arms, I have noticed myself, but didn't have time to fix it. I know it doesn't make sense how she is holding him up and everything, I blame it on her being a robot :P No, I have redrew the arms a million times but couldn't get them right, I have to practice more anatomy :D.
Thank you~!

No words can describe it.
