This is half photograph and half digital paint, technically call a "Matte Painting." People seem to really like these, i do quite a bit of modification to the color and add "stylized lines" as well. Although I'm not sure I'm going to have much of a painting effect on the next one of these that I do. Repetitive horizontal lines start to do some very strange things at different resolutions. And that is frustrating. Plus I just want to see how people will like these without such a strong painting effect. We'll see . . .

Peaceful but with a sort of apocalyptic feeling, as if you'd be looking at a scene just like this after a meteor hit. The use of colour is good with the dark colours for the mountain and rock and the cool blue in the sky, really gives it an early morning feel which feels captured perfectly.
