When I was going to school in 2005 the endangered Amur Leopard numbered at around 50 individuals in the wild. Since then, scientists are reporting only 35 left. I was given a bundle of images from some of the scientists in Russia after I asked for reference shots to complete a series of Amur Leopard paintings to raise awareness and benefit the species. I had to shelve the project after my trauma in 2007 and then The Mutational Alchemy Tarot took up all of my time. Earlier this year I finished up several of these half finished leopards. I was greatly inspired by Jiang Tiefeng, one of my idols since I was 12 years old. I hope to do a lot more of these. All of the print profits go to benefit ALTA.
