This one here's ooooold. It's from my freshmen year of college! Nearly 3 years ago.

I did this as a final for drawing 1. This got me a nice art award and I'm still really happy with it.

This is a very strange picture, because of what it represents. I couldn't help but think it was perhaps some deeper dig at how we, as humans, are arrogant in the world. Maybe not. Whatever the case, this is a great drawing because it shows the world being destroyed easily by a giant space fish. The sketch work is really good in this! It looks like it was copied from an engraving.

Engravings, those are things you don't hear much of nowadays. Hey, I just now noticed another smaller fish trying to eat a meteor or something like that. I like how you tell a story through the lack of color but instead with your pencils. I'm amazed you were talented enough to come up with this when you were just a freshman. You have talent, dude!

What medium did you use?

I also like the surrealism you used in this picture.

Woah

Duuuuuuuuuuuude....
Awesome.

So tasty...

This is that unusual kind of art that makes me tempted to buy it in galleries and put it on my walls. It reminds me of a painting I saw in a gallery of giant king salmon flying through the sky over forests. I like the shading, the expressions(?) on the fish and the concept being pushed for it.

There's prints of this available on my deviantart page! nalem.deviantart.com
